Language & translation settings
Language Settings
To ensure accurate language display and translation functionality in the system, you need to configure language settings from two different areas: Brand level and User level.
Brand-specific settings
Brand-specific language settings determine the default language and translation options for a particular brand. These settings affect all users interacting with that brand.
Steps to Configure Brand-Specific Language Settings:
- Navigate to the Configuration section in the admin panel.
- Select the Brand List option.
- Select the brand you wish to modify and scroll down to Languages-section.
- Choose the Default Language for the brand.
- Enable or disable Translated Support per language.
- Save the changes to apply the settings by “SET LANGUAGES”.
User-specific settings
User-specific settings allow user-level setting of Native Languages spoken. These settings affect only the agent/team leader and do not override the brand’s default settings.
Steps to Configure User-Specific Language Settings:
- Click on User List in the menu.
- Select the user you wish to configure.
- Select the languages the agent speaks as a Native Speaker. They can have multiple languages.
- Save to apply changes by pressing “SET LANGUAGES”.
By setting correctly both agent and brand level configurations, you ensure a seamless multilingual experience for both customers and agents.

Prohibited Languages
If a brand has prohibited languages, those languages will not be set up from the backend at all. They will not be available in the widget, not translated, and all conversations will be handled in the brand’s default language.

Steps to Configure Brand-Specific Prohibited Languages:
- Make sure, that you have not selected the language in the Brand settings.
- This affects the language selection in the chat widget. If it's not selected in the brand settings, it will not be offered for the player.
- Make sure, that you have not selected the language for the AI Agent to use.
- You can check this in Users > AI Agent > User languages.
